According to a report released by automobiles AutoScout 24 platform, European countries with a higher salary per inhabitant are those who show a greater condition toward so-called cars mileuristas, i.e. second hand with low price and high mileage cars. These countries are Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, while Spain, Italy and France, countries with less economic capacity, are less conducive to opt for these cars. This study breaks with the general belief that the demand for second-hand cars is directly related to the purchasing power of drivers, since more defendants are located in countries with greater economic capacity by capita. Autoscout24, company that manages 40% of transactions of used cars in Spain, also reveals that the determining factor when purchasing a vehicle is its price, regardless of your age and your mileage.

The so-called mileuristas cars are those that have a value less than $ 3,000, and in Spain your demand represents 17% of the car market, just below 18% of European average. This ranking led by Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, which have percentages of 25%, 21% and 18%, respectively. On the contrary, Europeans with less deeply rooted respect second hand cars are the Italians, because only 11% of their drivers prefer this type of vehicles. Thus it is shown that purchasing power is not the sole determining factor when a driver decides to change your vehicle, but there are many more factors that influence the decision. Their consumption of gasoline, its C02 emissions, equipment, benefits, needs that to be met, the reliability, the depreciation of their value these reasons also should be measured at the time of buying a car, regardless of if its price is more or less high.
